The Global Surgery Foundation (GSF) has mandated Tavernier Tschanz to act as its external general counsel. Tavernier Tschanz has assisted GSF over the past months in setting important tax and legal milestones.
5 billion people worldwide don’t have access to the surgical care they need. GSF is a public-private partnership facilitated by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research and Harvard Medical School’s Program in global surgery and social change. Its aim is to provide a common funding and collaboration platform for the development of safe, timely and affordable surgical, obstetrical and anaesthesia care systems, mainly in low- and middle-income countries who need it most. GSF was officially launched at the WEF 2020 annual meeting in Davos and is entering its second phase of growth in 2022.
The team at Tavernier Tschanz is led by Pierre-Yves Vuagniaux and includes Phidias Ferrari and Marc Freymond.
